Which Addy should I buy? When did they start to put numbers on the back of Addy's neck. I have seen PM Addy's on ebay with numbers on their neck and some without? Are the Mattel dolls nicer? What are the differences between the two? If you had the choice, which would you buy and why? Thanks.

I've kinda had both before. We got a pm Addy off of ebay, and I must say she was absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, her limbs were EXTREMELY loose, and we sent her to the hospital.
At the hospital, they found out she was developing silver eye. (this was shortly after we got her, maybe a week or so.) They called us, and since she was pm all they could do was replace her head. And limbs too, because otherwise the coloring wouldn't match up right.
We got her back and I must say, even the mattel version is beautiful. (my first experience seeing/touching mattel parts; and I was terrified of how it would be.) So I was
pleasantly surprised at her quality.
At the same time, I feel the pm Addy had a more "healty" tone, I guess I'd say. I think she was darker than the mattel version, and her cheeks had a bit more of a rosy color to them, but it complimented her skin beautifully.
I wish she hadn't been getting silver eye.
BUT. The mattel doll is beautiful as well. And I know whichever way you go, you'll love her.
(Or you could always get BOTH!)

I have seven of them that are a combintaion of being PM and Mattel. I love them all! They are Addy dollies, but Today AA girls in my family. They all look different which is a plus to me. Each and everyone has their own name and identity as a modern today AA girl!

I have an ebay PM Addy (as you can see in my album). My only wish is that her hair had less fly-away pieces. It is really worn out, probably because her previous owner . .errr . . loved . .her to death. I have heard wonderful things about the Mattel Addy hair. I love my PMAddy's face tone though. I have heard mixed reviews singing the praises of both, so I think that either way, you can't go wrong with Addy!

I prefer that PM Addy, I've had both and I like the skin of the PM much better, her complexion is much warmer in my opinion, and my mom says her face is fuller, but I'm not sure I saw that. They are, however, both beautiful.

Hmmm I prefer Nethilia's Addy. She is by far the prettest Addy around
I asked and she is Mattel!

I think Addy is beautiful PM or Mattel! She's so gorgeous, I don't think it matters! I cannot WAIT until Addy gets a friend, because it will distract me from that little voice in my head that says "Couldn't Addy be a twin? A new Mattel one will look a LITTLE different." She's too pretty to resist. I would say go with a brand new one though, that way you know what you're getting!

I have a Mattel Addy that I got for Christmas, and I love her! She has beautiful coloring and her hair is amazing! Her eyes are beautiful too, they make her look so real. I recommend a Mattel Addy but I'm sure you can't go wrong either way with a PM or Mattel Addy.
Enjoy your Addy
Katie148: I love both of your signature pictures. You Addy's hair is incredible! I wish I could do that kind of stuff with her hair. She looks so cute in Kirsten's style of hair also
